Vortex flowmeter installation
Vortex flowmeter installation requirement for straight pipe is very important. Its detailed requirements are as follows:
Flow meter on the installation point of the upstream and downstream straight pipe section of a certain requirement, otherwise it will affect the accuracy of the measurement.
If the flow meter installation points on the upstream of the tapered pipe, flow meter upstream should be not less than 15D (D diameter) of the straight pipe section, downstream should be not less than 5D of the straight pipe section. If the meter installation point upstream diffuser, upstream of the flowmeter should be not less than 18D (D is the pipe diameter) of the straight pipe section, downstream should be not less than 5D and straight segment if the flow meter is installed upstream 90 degree elbow or downlink joint, upstream of the flowmeter should be not less than 20d of straight pipe section, downstream should be not less than 5D of diameter straight sections. If the flow meter installation point upstream in the same plane with 90 degrees elbow, flow meter upstream should be not less than 25D, such as straight pipe section, downstream should be not less than 5D of the straight pipe section.
Flow control valve or pressure regulating valve as installed in the flowmeter downstream 5D in the distance, if it must be installed in the upstream of the flowmeter, flow upstream should be not less than 25d of straight pipe section, downstream should be not less than 5D of straight segments.
